Once upon a time…

Veronica downloaded a dating app called Bumble. This dating app was different from all the other dating apps; it’s where the woman has to send the first message within 24 hours of matching, or the match disappears.

As she was swiping left and right, she matched with Michael, but then her timer went off, and it was time to go back to work. Now, Veronica is a busy lad,y and it wasn’t until the following day, at the 23rd hour, when Veronica got notified from Bumble: “time’s almost up, send Michael a message”. She sent Michael a message, and so began their love story.

After many conversations in the app, they decided to meet at Cloud 9 for their first date.

Veronica always gets everywhere 10 minutes early, so she had gone in and gotten them a table. Eventually, the door swung open and in walked a tall and handsome man, Michael.

After a few more dates, Michael told Veronica that he was being relocated to Baltimore for work.

While trying to stop overthinking about “what could’ve been”, Veronica went out with Heather and Mikey to Tin Roof. That night, Michael saw how much fun Veronica was having at Tin Roof via her Snapchat Stories and messaged her, “I am coming back to visit you”.

The weekend of his visit, they went out to Tin Roof with Heather, Mikey, Madeline, and Joey. In the middle of the bar Michael voiced how he’s in this for the long haul,l and the next day asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes! And so began their long-distance relationship for 2.5 years.

They made long distance fun by doing weekend trips to nearby cities in Baltimore, New York, D.C., Philly, just to name a few. A lot of texting, phone calls, and FaceTime dates. Some FaceTime dates included watching the whole Marvel series together – timing up the movies was very challenging.

Long distance was difficult for them, but mostly for Veronica. Wondering if the long distance would ever come to an end, she got a text from Michael saying he’s being relocated to Columbus, OH. Well, at least it’s an hour and a half vs an 8-hour drive for him or a flight for her.

Michael always knew he wanted to marry Veronica, so he brought them back to the same city of Cincinnati by starting his own business.

In the Fall of 2022, they went ring shopping together, and it took Michael four months of acrylic nail appointments to propose.

Michael proposed to Veronica in the middle of Hyde Park Square on their 5-year anniversary, and she said yes to forever.
